Grandeur Point

Grand Canyon Village

Visitor Center
After your first glimpses into the Canyon at Mather and/or Yavapai Point, your next stop should be the main Visitor Center.

The Visitor Center is staffed by rangers who can answer any questions you might have about how to visit and enjoy the Canyon. It also has many exhibits depicting the geologic and cultural history of the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon Association maintains a small bookstore in the lobby.

A short trail leads from the Visitor Center which connects to the main Rim Trail. Mather Amphitheatre and the Shrine of the Ages, where the evening programs are held, shares the same parking lot with the Visitor Center and is located just a short distance to the west of it.
