GRAND CANYON ASSOCIATION

The Grand Canyon Association is a non-profit organization that was established to help educate visitors to Grand Canyon National Park about various topics of concern regarding the Grand Canyon specifically and the Colorado Plateau in general. The Grand Canyon Association provides informative exhibits, educational programs and numerous publications in its effort to attain this goal.

In addition to its role in educating the public the Grand Canyon Association provides funds that are used to help restore and renovate historical structures. A fine example of this is the work that has been done on the restoration of the Kolb Studio.

The Grand Canyon Association also sponsors the Grand Canyon Field Institute which offers a large selection of courses regarding various aspects of the Canyon, from bird watching to backpacking, and archaeology to photography. All of the Field Institute courses are conducted within the confines of the Grand Canyon itself making them an incredible adventure as well as a awesome learning experience.
