10:06 pm - It's all good

I didn't do much at all today. I was going to get up early and drive up to Kendrick Park to look at the Venus/Moon conjunction but when I stepped out the front door early this morning it was just... there... so I didn't have to drive anywhere. It was quite beautiful.

I went over to the Flagstaff library for a while this morning to catch up on e-mail since that is a lot faster than the dial-up connection using my cell phone and laptop. I also did a little shopping and picked up some things for the house.

I am going hiking up at the Canyon tomorrow, a nice long day hike: down the Hermit Trail to the Dripping Springs Trail and back up that to the rim on Ermita Mesa. From there I go through the forest to the trailhead for the Waldron Trail and then down that to rejoin the Hermit and back up that to Hermit's Rest. That's the plan anyway. I was a little annoyed that my GPS won't let me enter waypoints directly into it. You can set a waypoint when you are at a position or you can download from a computer but you cannot enter them directly. Pain in the arse! I don't have a cable to connect GPS to laptop. So I am winging it without waypoints. I will have maps on my Pocket PC though. This should be interesting. :)

Oh, well, I am getting up at 4 so I probably should hit the sack.
