I went up to the south rim for breakfast and then actually attended an informal non-denominational service up there... at the Shrine of the Ages. It was quite nice.

Afterwards I wandered around the south rim for a bit and watched the condors come over from the north rim so spend the day watching the silly hu-mans.

I also stopped by the Backcountry Office and reported on snow conditions in the Saddle Mountain area and also the problems that I was having with the bees. No one else had reported bee problems yet but the ranger did seem concerned and made a note just to inform other hikers when they pick up their permits.
