We are packed and pretty much ready to go. We are meeting Sue and Tom in the lodge for breakfast at 8:00 and then well be taking off and heading back to Las Vegas. Were planning to stop in Zion National Park for a few hours, to kill some time, on the way back. It''s been several years since weve been there and I dont think Ive ever been there in the springtime before so I am looking forward to it.

17:00 - Las Vegas

We spent several hours in Zion, took the park shuttle up the main canyon, walked along the Virgin River to the start of The Narrows and had a quick snack at Zion Lodge, before starting back to Vegas. We made awesome time coming back here considering that we did not leave Zion until just before 3:00.

21:00 - Las Vegas

We just dropped Sue and Tom off at the airport. I had not made a reservation for tonight anywhere in Vegas because I figured we would just be able to find something, near the rental car place so we could get a quick start in the morning. Wrong. There is nothing anywhere near it. Robin and I drove around for about an hour looking and finally ended up at a Rodeway Inn, just off of "The Strip". I didn't want to end up in a dive and I think thats just where we did end up. This place gives me the creeps. What do you want for $37/night, right?
