It was my last day in Flagstaff... in Arizona... and I still had things to do at the house so I wanted to stay close to home. I had always seen the signs for the arboretum and wished I had time to go and visit it so today I finally did.

Unfortunately it was a little high up and a little too early in the season for a lot of the local wildflowers but I still managed to get some nice shots. The woman at the front desk said the best time to come was June and July which was when almost everything would be in bloom. Oh, well, that was not likely to happen this year. We may get to come out in June, 2007 if I can get that river trip booked for my 50th birthday. If we do I need to remember to go back to the arboretum.

I had been thinking of going to the Riordan Mansion as well but decided to go back to the house for lunch and work on closing things up.
