08:53 pm - Flagstaff

It rained a lot here last night. The snow was almost all gone on the peaks this week but last night they got a fresh coating and they looked magnificent this morning. It?s weird to be in spring here and still have winter only 2000? up and 4 miles away. It?s a nice kind of weird though.

I decided not to go to Sedona today because the weather looked a lot worse south than north. I headed north and was going to go up to the Canyon for a few hours. I stopped in Kendrick Park to take some pix of the peaks and decided to just stay there for a few hours. I could here lots of bird in the forest and I just wandered around trying to get some photos of them. The Ponderosa pines smelt heavenly after the rain and the area was permeated with the scent of vanilla from them. It was a lovely way to spend my last afternoon here.
