10:05 pm - Indian Hollow camp

I was up at 7am this morning and Mike and I went out to breakfast and then to do some shopping. Back at the house I packed up in an hour or so and we were on the road by 11. We met Chuck over at the turn-off for Sunset Crater and then all had lunch together at the Vermillion Cliffs Café before continuing on to Indian Hollow camp.

We hit some pretty good downpours of rain on the way to Indian Hollow, especially at Jacob Lake, but it was only cloudy when we got to Indian Hollow and it didn't seem like it had rained there at all.

We arrived at the Indian Hollow camping area around 4pm and were the first to arrive. Mike's friend, Jasek, and his friend, Bolek, showed up around 6. We were starting to get a little worried about Dave once it got dark and he still wasn't here but he finally showed up around 7, just in time for dinner.

Chuck made an awesome dinner for all of us which consisted of pulled pork cooked in a barbecue sauce and served with baked beans. We also had tortilla chips and salsa for an appetizer and plenty of beer to go around. Jasek brought some Polish beer with him all the way from Chicago to share with everyone and Chuck had a case of Tecate. Dave had some Arrogant Bastard. It was a wonderful even but I am fading fast and ready for bed.
