After breakfast we headed right over to the South Kaibab trailhead and did the hike down to Cedar Ridge. Maggi did very well on this and was very excited to be doing her first hike below the rim. We sat together for quite a time while we were down at Cedar Ridge and had a very nice time just talking and relishing in the beauty surrounding us.

After we finished the Cedar Ridge hike we headed back into the village for a quick lunch and then out to Desert View Drive for nice little walk through the Ponderosa forest out to Shoshone Point, another place that is very special to both of us. We sat and talked a while longer out there and took some more photos.

I was supposed to meet Mike and Chuck for dinner at 5 but Maggi was in no hurry to return to Phoenix so I was very pleased when she decided to sick around and join us. She was very amused by Chuck and Mike I think. I had hoped to be finished with dinner in time to catch the sunset but that didn't work out. After dinner she dropped me back the lodge, picked up her stuff and finally headed back home.
