Up late. Start coffee while Chuck is in the shower. Chocolate biscotti and pancakes for breakfast with the fabulous coffee. Do breakfast dishes.

09:00 - Indian Garden

Take off for day hike. Go to see ruins off of old Bright Angel again and take some photos. Follow old Bright Angel to new Bright Angel (top of Devils Corkscrew). Trail gets worse below there. Head back up towards Indian Garden. Cross creek and follow below Tapeats to other ruins. Continue following Tapeats to below Plateau Point. Rest for a while in shady spot. Decide to follow Tapeats below and around to side canyon on west side of plateau - Prospector Canyon. Lots of brush... work my way down to bed... a little easier to follow. Find a place to climb up. Back on Tonto. Follow drainage to Tonto trail, to Bright Angel Trail and back to Indian Gardens.

13:30 - Indian Garden

Get back a little later than expected. Chuck needs to go down to pump house to do something. Go with him and get tour. Come back and have potato soup for lunch. He goes to put up thermometer in day use area. Then gets called to Three-mile resthouse to help a woman who is having a problem.

15:45 - Indian Garden

Chuck takes photos of me with Jornada setup to use for web site.

17:30 - Indian Garden

Make campground rounds with Chuck - a few problems. Woman and two kids were supposed to be at Bright Angel Campground but she cant make it. Someone else has a permit but is not on the register. Someone else has two permits with the same number and is using two sites. Give him a hand with some stuff, moving people around and helping out.

18:40 - Indian Garden

Finally ready for dinner. Salads with hamburgers and fried potatos with onions. Delicious - Chuck is a great cook.

22:10 - Indian Garden

Time for bed. Want to get up early and go out to Plateau Point for sunrise. Chuck gives me an alarm clock to use. Read for a while before going to sleep.
